Teddy Lauzau assumes Deputy Director role at GObike.

Teddy Lauzau began working at GObike in fall 2023 as operations and development manager, working on events, and grant contract management. In 2025 she was named Operations Director, joining GObike’s leadership team.

“Teddy’s importance to this team cannot be overstated,” said GObike executive director Kevin Heffernan. “She has overhauled systems for financial management, given structure to the dozens of different reporting timelines and invoicing protocols from our grant contracts, and taken the chaos of executing massive events like SkyRide and turned them into smooth, well-planned operations that staff and participants alike have praised for how GObike had ‘thought of everything.’
“On top of her outstanding organizational skills, Teddy brings one of the warmest and most-welcoming personalities on our team to everyone we meet inside and outside of our offices and community workshops. As a self-proclaimed ‘pedestrian princess,’ her motivation to make our city and region safer for people walking and biking is on display daily in all of her work.”
“Mobility- and the idea that everyone deserves to travel safely, efficiently, and with dignity- has mattered to me long before I had the knowledge or language to articulate why,” said Lauzau (pronounced ‘Loozaw’). “GObike’s mission has transformed my world and the way that I move through it, and it is an honor to be a part of something that means so much to me. When I applied for the Operations Manager position in 2023, I did so with the conviction that this was my dream job. Three years later, that hasn’t changed. Working alongside GObike’s staff, board, and the community we serve has only strengthened and reaffirmed my enthusiasm and commitment to the organization. As I step into the role of Deputy Director, I do so with confidence in what lies ahead: a new chapter in GObike’s history and an effort to make Western New York safer, healthier, and more connected that is stronger than ever.”
