Bike to Chestnut Ride Park, then hike to the Eternal Flame.
Niagara Falls isn’t the only natural wonder in the region! Check out the Eternal Flame, a natural methane-fueled flame under a waterfall in Chestnut Ridge Park. The flame is about a 20-minute hike from the rear entrance. Consider bringing an extra pair of shoes as your feet might get wet on the walk to the flame.
These directions are for planning purposes only. While we make our best effort to keep the maps up to date, you may find that construction projects, traffic weather, or other events may cause conditions to differ from the map and you should adjust your route accordingly.
Bicyclists are traffic and must obey ALL rules of the road. Please refer to our Bike Safety section for additional information on safe riding practices. Though it is the responsibility of both motorists and cyclists to practice safe driving and riding behavior, we strongly encourage cyclists to exercise caution at all times as the more vulnerable road user.
