313 Broadway, GObike’s HQ presented by M&T Bank and KeyBank, is a fully-functional bike shop with new and used bikes for sale, pedal- and electric-powered options. We’ve also got accessories, and parts!
We’re taking bikes for paid service (tune-ups starting at $65), and we’re doing Open Shop for Members and new friends every Saturday.

14 Saturday Classes during Winter 2025
Winters are for riding and maintenance
All classes are held at 313 Broadway on Saturdays 10 am – 11:30 pm. The cost for the classes varies from $25 to $55 and most classes are limited to 10 participants.
Things to know about this series:
- Classes are a mix of instruction and hands-on demo. Unless otherwise noted, participants can, but don’t need to bring their own bike. We’ll have bikes and materials to use as examples.
- We’ll cover the topic scheduled for class, but may not have time to fix individual issues on participants’ bikes.
- Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and is safe for a shop environment.

Flat Repair: Learn the ins and outs of fixing a flat. Includes hands-on instruction on tube patching and tube and tire removal and reinstallation. We will also discuss different types of punctures as well as flat prevention. Participants can bring their own bike, but don’t need to. $25 per person 10 participants
General Maintenance: This class will give you the knowledge you need to keep your ride rolling. Students will learn about proper frame, brake, and drive train maintenance as well as how to assess and describe common problems. Participants can bring their own bike, but don’t need to $25 per person 10 participants
Braking 101: Stopping is almost as important as going. This class will cover cable-actuated brakes, including caliper, cantilever, liner pull and center pull. Participants will learn how to troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust these systems. Participants can bring their own bike, but don’t need to $25 per person 10 participants
Braking 102:($50 price) It’s wet and messy. We’ll explore hydraulic systems and go through a brake bleed with participants. Participants will bleed a brake and change pads in this hands-on demo. Participants will perform a brake bleed on shimano style brakes, please don’t bring you bike. $55 per person 5 Participants
Drivetrain: We’ll go over all the parts that make the bike go. In this class, we’ll cover troubleshooting, common problems and solutions, and preventative maintenance. $25 per person 10 participants
How to Tune-Up:(50$) It’s more like an instrument than you think, We’ll cover the whole procedure of a tune-up. All the adjustments that make your bike feel 100%. Participants should bring their bikes and are encouraged to wrench along with the instructor. Participants are encouraged to share what kind of bike they are bringing to tune up with adam@gobikebuffalo.org before the class date.
$55 per person 5 participants
Wheels 101: We’ll cover hub adjustment, truing, cassettes and freewheels, and bearings. This class is an introduction to bike wheels and covers troubleshooting and adjustments of the most common issues. $25 per person 10 participants

- Bike parking available! There are always four bike racks alongside the building, plus abundant street signs to lock your bike to. We’ll also be installing additional semi-permanent bike racks for Friday.
- Reddy bikeshare – there is a Reddy Bikeshare station at 313 Broadway with 6 slots for bikes—including Reddy+ e-bikes.
- Free on-street parking is available on Broadway and Cedar Street (no off-street parking). Please consider carpooling or using another mode of transportation to minimize impact on the neighborhood.
- Transit – Check out your options using Google Maps
- Our location is a 15 minute walk/6 minute bike ride from the Lafayette Square metro rail station.
- Bus lines that serve the neighborhood include Routes 1 (William), 4 (Broadway), and 6 (Sycamore). Many other routes serve downtown and GObike is just a 15 minute walk/6 minute bike ride away.
- We recommend downloading the NFTA MetGo app for your bus or rail fare. Allow for about fifteen minutes between adding funds and boarding the bus/train. Then you’ll be set to tap and go!
