We’re seeking an experienced Executive Director to build on our momentum and lead our impact across Western New York. 

After more than 15 years of leadership—and decades of grassroots work building GObike’s foundation—our founding Executive Director has transitioned to a role with the City of Buffalo, creating an exciting opportunity for new leadership.

GObike is a regional leader advancing active mobility, equitable transportation, and safer streets across Western New York.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established, mission-driven organization at a moment of strong momentum. The Executive Director will guide strategy, lead a dedicated team, and serve as a visible leader across the community and region.

This role spans advocacy, programs, partnerships, and fundraising—and plays a key role in shaping how people move throughout Western New York. The Executive Director will work closely with staff, the Board of Directors, public officials, and community partners to advance a bold vision for safer, more accessible transportation.

We are seeking a proven leader with the experience, judgment, and commitment to lead a complex, visible organization and build on GObike’s strong foundation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead organizational strategy in partnership with the Board of Directors
• Serve as the external leader, influencing policy and building high-level partnerships
• Oversee a multi-function team across programs, operations, and communications
• Lead and expand the organization’s resource development including but not limited to fundraising, grants, partnerships and earned income
• Ensure strong financial oversight, budgeting, and long-term sustainability
