Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do to volunteer?
There are so many ways to help out and learn at the same time. Just stop by the shop during open hours and we can get to started on a project.
Where does my membership money go?
All memberships, donations and sales are used to advance the goals of GO Bike Buffalo. Money is used for a variety things such as shop expenses (tools, stands, greases), GO Buffalo programs, special events and promotions, or for ongoing bicycle and pedestrian policy work.
Where do you get all your bicycles?
Our bicycles are all donated, either from private individuals, local companies or from municipalities that organize recycling drives. We also organize our own recycling drives.
Do you do tune ups for members?
The workshop’s goal is to educate people so they can maintain their own bicycles. There are many local shops that will perform tune-ups for a fee. A list of local shops is available at the workshop. We are glad, however, to help you learn how.
