All of the hard work that went into organizing Buffalo’s First–dare I say ‘Annual’–Bicycle Beauty Pageant paid off on Saturday, June 2nd.
The one-of-a-kind works of art were on display in front of Campus Wheelworks throughout the day, gathering People’s Choice votes. At 8pm the pageant took place and contestants got to strut their stuff. It came down to a few awesome entries, and the Brementown Musicians Bike took 1st place. There were quite a number of sponsors, and a number of folks got to go home with goodies and gear from mostly local businesses.
Toward the end of the event the bicycles were auctioned off to eager art-bike enthusiasts, and all proceeds are going toward our continued advocacy efforts. Thanks to all who helped make it happen–the organizers, sponsors, contestants and everyone who came to the event.
